About Mustace4Cash & Color4Kidz
Mustache4Cash / Color4Kidz is a fundraiser started in 2004 by the Youth Opportunity Foundation, a Colorado 501(c)(3) dedicated to raising money and awareness for Denver based charities focused on the needs of "at-risk" youth.
The way we do it is to engage willing men ("Growers") to grow mustaches and women ("Colorers") to color their hair, while raising money for the benefit of Denver non-profits serving "at-risk" youth.
From it's humble beginnings in 2004, Mustache4Cash / Color4Kidz is now in its fifth year. In the past 5 years Mustache4Cash / Color4Kidz has raised over $250,000 benefiting hundreds of "at-risk" youth and had over 350 participants! In 2008 M4C and C4K expects to raise more than $125,000 for the event's beneficiaries.
WHO PARTICIPATES?Our Volunteers, Growers and Colorers are a who's who of Denver professionals from many different industries (e.g., law, banking, real estate, financial services, marketing/advertising, etc.). The average age of our participants is 35 (but ranges from 21 to 72) and most of our participants are involved in various other philanthropic and cultural activities in the city.
