For women hair color is multifaceted. It can represent defiance and rebellion. It can represent youth and vigor. It can represent beauty and indulgence. It can identify us as cultural icons, professionals, rock stars, sports stars, and so much more. What was once a tool to reclaim or hold onto our youth has become a playful way to reinvent ourselves. This year, Mustache 4 Cash invites you to use your luscious locks and a bottle of dye in a whole new way—to raise money for a wonderful cause and help out some really great kids. Do you think your friends and co-workers would pay to see you streak of dye your hair? We think they would, and that’s why we are asking you to change it up. You adventurous and philanthropic spirits that participate in this challenge will have a great deal of fun. You will meet many people, and live out your life long dream of making an unexpected, perhaps secretly dreamed of change. You will put smiles on the faces of your friends and co-workers and even bigger one’s on the faces of the youth involved with Byrne Urban Scholars (formerly The Byrne Foundation) and Colorado Youth at Risk.
The fund raiser will officially begin on October 4th.
Participants agree to alter the color of their whole head, or dye a single streak (or multiple streaks) a noticeably different color.
Remember, hair coloring should be noticeably different—we want to make and impact!
