Why is this fundraiser important to you? I am a Teen Mentor Message to your donors The Byrne Urban Scholars program is one-of-a-kind. They not only give the students scholarships to local private schools where they can get more individual academic attention, but they also set each student up with an adult mentor who is often with them throughout their entire high school years. They are committed to supporting young men and women who have a great deal of potential, but not necessarily the opportunities. They serve holistically, focusing on academic and social engagement. Help me help them. This year, I'm committing to put in a microbraid for every $10 I raise. The hard part will be getting enough to have as many braids as my head needs to look decent - so help me out - I need somewhere between 75 and 100 braids!
